I am a Vermont photographer who specializes in weddings, family reunions, special events, portraits and sports. As a wedding photographer, I feel that it's important to capture the formal photos, but once these are taken, my style leans towards a photojournalistic and candid approach. My goal is always to capture those special moments and the energy of the event, while blending in with the crowd, and without interrupting what's going on around me. I shoot with both color and black and white film, and never have a time limit. I've had the opportunity to photograph weddings and civil unions in some beautiful places throughout Vermont, New England and New York and always incorporate the surroundings into the photos. Photographing children and families can be challenging and fun. For the past 16 years, I've had the opportunity to work with many of the same families year after year. It's been a fulfilling experience watching the families grow and change and I've made some good friends in the process. For me, the key to success is to let the kids enjoy themselves and work in their environment rather than in a studio. Sports photography is where it all started for me. I moved to Vermont in 1990 and started as a ski and snowboard photographer. While my career has evolved, I still have a passion for being out in the middle of the action.
